Mykhaylo died peacefully on Saturday, January 7th, 2023.  Mykhaylo was born in eastern Ukraine on July 11, 1934 and immigrated to Canada in 2003 to join his daughter’s family.

He loved his job as a military engineer for over 35 years. After graduating from the Kiev Military School of Engineering, he worked for many years as an engineer and consulted for the tank military industry. His work took him across world from Siberia to Germany, to the Baltics and Vietnam. After immigrating to Canada, he was member of Kilcooley Garden Co-op where he volunteered for many years clearing the snow during winter and cut the grass during the summer.

He enjoyed exploring nature, travelling, and fishing.

Mykhaylo and Zhannetta were married for almost 52 years. He loved and looked out for his family and always gave the world to his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters Olena and Tatiana (Sergey), grandchildren Tatiana, Katia, Mike and Stephan and great-grandchildren Nikita, Vlada, Nastia. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 from
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
