Obituary for Valerie Alston

Passed away peacefully, at her sister’s home in Brockville with her family around her, after a long courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 67. Beloved mother of Emily Walsh and loving Grammy of Leah and Riley Walsh. Devoted life partner of Allen Groome. Loving sister of Heather Charbonneau and the late Greig Alston. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke. A celebration of Valerie’s life will take place on Wednesday, August 26th at 2 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be appreciated.
