Our storyteller!
Our Aunt Stella loved all her nieces and nephews, getting to know us as she visited her sisters and brothers. We loved our Auntie and looked forward to her visits to northern Ontario. She always had a story, got us laughing and brightened our day. Our first cabin had an outhouse and wood stove. On her first visit to the cabin, Every few hours she disappeared. Now, Auntie Stella has traveled the world, was born in a small village and told amazing stories. so why was she disappearing? Oh... Never an outhouse again:) so she wAs driving 10 km to a restaurant. She was so funny!
When our mom, Terry Anderson, was in the nursing home, and auntie Stella couldn't drive cross province anymore, she called weekly. Mom looked forward to the calls and the stories.
When my brothers and sisters did visit Toronto, Stella was the one we visited, took out to dinner or whatever. She had the stories to keep us connected with family. She had the stories of the cousins, and I love her for that. Miigwech for your love and kindness, and filling up my suitcase these last few trips. You knew your physical life was coming to an end and you were ready. You had a full life, lifetime friends, and people who loved you. We have reconnected with cousins and our extended family is coming together for you. Be well on your spirit journey. We love you forever.
Love Laura Lee, while having tea with Donna, Wayne and cousin Sandra Boland
